Autumn Launch

The latest RAGYARD collection for Autumn Winter 18/19 has launched with Palladio Associates at the Jacket Required London show, this week with exciting buyer reaction, the brand has been gaining International interest and has also just launched a shop in shop at Selfridges London. From January 28th it will be at Scoop International at The Saatchi Gallery, Duke of York’s HQ, Kings Road, London SW3. The range brings unique vintage elements and design inspiration from Eastern Asia and Mexico, mixed with a very British eccentricity.

The brand’s wholesale European debut will be with the Elisa Gaito Agency in Milan from February.

Eastern Asia Inspires an Exciting and Exotic Mix

The Autumn Winter 18 /19 collection is inspired by Eastern Asian Chinese and Japanese emblems. Chinese Guardian lions, Koi carp, Lily flowers and Japanese Tengu, with Sushi and bamboo adding to the fun. These are mixed with Kuchi tribal beadwork and sequins to create the perfect RAGYARD eclectic mix. Victorian Staffordshire dogs add humour and the British element often featured in RAGYARD collections.

Discussing the collection, Creative Director and Founder Josephine Starsmore said:

“We love to create and to celebrate ancient culture and design from across the world, adding our own creative ideas into the mix. The collection is inspired by diverse and exotic references from Eastern Asia, Mexico and America mixed with British tradition and humour”

Unique Dye Effects

The brand’s in-house dye facility, which opened at the end of last year, has enabled a wonderful palette of over-dyed coral and heather grey marl jersey along with an explosion of skilful tie dyes, bleach washed jogger sets and - excitingly- over-dyed vintage military shirting in colour pops.

Faux Fur with a Difference

Patterned faux fur is a stand-out addition to the Menswear offer for the season and the RAGYARD signature sparkle is refreshed with a clean palette-cleansing silver in the Womenswear collection.

Repurposed Mexican Blankets!

In true RAGYARD style, no collection would be complete without a repurposed angle. The most amazing Mexican blankets have been turned into fun, vibrant outerwear, fluffy bikers and maxi blanket coats to die for!

New Classic Ragyard Favourites

Appliqués, 3D elements, and reworked vintage military and denim remain firm favourites and underpin a wonderfully versatile and refreshing collection. The collection makes clever use of texture and pattern, RAGYARD AUTUMN WINTER 18/19 COLLECTION - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - balancing these to offer bold and striking pieces along with every day classics with the RAGYARD stamp of individuality throughout.

Talking about the values behind the collection, Josephine said:

“Our continued passion for global inspiration, individual expression, reinvention, British creativity, and our growing British manufacturing facilities have been the foundation of this collection, which celebrates all that is eclectic”.

The collection includes: Grunge tie dye mixed with ancient Chinese stamp designs, Animal and fish appliqués and embroidery, ancient Sumo stripe prints, rich Chinese floral embroidery, exotic fish patched commando sweaters and sequinned dresses along with Aztec fleece, fur panelled animal theme hoodies and reworked beaded trim vintage Levis’s!

In the two years since launching, the RAGYARD brand has expanded its stockists to include a growing list of independents and major International retailers, the latest of which is Selfridges London. The brand also continues to attract a global following online, in its own shops in Notting Hill and Shoreditch.

About the Brand:

RAGYARD is about individuality. The brand loves to create pieces that allow people to say something about who they are and make them feel happy. The RAGYARD brand was launched in 2015 with two of its own London stores in Shoreditch and Notting Hill and has progressed as a result of world-wide enthusiasm and encouragement from consumers and wholesale buyers, to being stocked by a carefully selected list of International stores. Oneoff individually handmade in the UK garments sit alongside super special globally selected vintage items to create the perfect mix. RAGYARD stores are fun, colourful, ever-changing places where the brand aims to bring their ethically minded philosophy to life.
